“Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.” – Exodus 20:8
Shabbat, the sacred day of rest, is the heart of Jewish life and worship. Observed from Friday evening through Saturday night, Shabbat offers a weekly opportunity for reflection, renewal, and connection—a pause from the demands of daily life to embrace spirituality, community, and tradition.
Shabbat at Temple Emanu-El
At Temple Emanu-El, Shabbat is a time of beautiful prayer, uplifting music, and meaningful engagement. Our Friday night services blend time-honored liturgy with contemporary inspiration, featuring the voices of our clergy, choir, and guest musicians. Saturday morning services provide a space for deeper study, Torah reading, and communal prayer.
Shabbat is also about community. Whether gathering for worship, sharing in the warmth of an Oneg Shabbat, or engaging in study and discussion, we welcome all to experience the beauty and peace of this sacred day.
Join us for Shabbat worship and discover a moment of joy, rest, and renewal. Every Friday evening at 6:00 PM and Saturday morning at 10:30 AM.
