From enjoying challah and wine over Shabbat dinner to intimate and carefully curated small group events with our Young Members Circle to hearing your favorite celebrities speak at the Streicker Cultural Center to the lights and music of Friday Night Hub, we provide a variety of opportunities to meet and get to know other like-minded young professionals.

Become a Member

Introductory First-Year Membership

Temple Emanu-El offers the following reduced membership dues for individuals and couples between the ages of 21 and 39 in their first year of membership.

  Two-Adult Households
  21-29   $180   $360
  30-34   $360   $720
  35-39   $500   $1,000

Includes:

  • High Holy Days Tickets to Evening Rosh Hashanah and Kol Nidrei Yom Kippur Shir Chadash Services, as well as morning services for both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur
  • Complimentary entry to Streicker Outreach Young Professional Events
  • Invitation to participate in all member receptions, programs and events, including Young Member Circle events
  • Member pricing for Streicker Center events
  • Member discounts on Skirball Academy classes

Does not include: 

  • Member discount for Nursery School or Religious School tuition
  • Lifecycle events (ex: wedding, baby naming, bris) and any additional lifecycle event fees

Non-Introductory 20s and 30s Membership

Associate Members (Under age 30)

We offer Associate Memberships for individuals and couples between the ages of 21 and 29. Associate Membership at Temple Emanu-El offers full membership benefits; Included for all Associate member households is the option to reserve one ticket for individuals or two tickets for a two-adult household for all High Holy Days Services.

Young Members (Ages 30 – 34)

As the Associate Membership concludes at age 30, dues gradually increase over five years, as households 35 years and older are billed at the full dues amount. Below, please find this year’s schedule. Included for households between the ages of 30 and 34, is the option to reserve one ticket for individuals or two tickets for a two-adult household for all High Holy Days Services. Households ages 35 and older must add reserved seating onto their membership to reserve tickets for the assigned seating services. To help maintain the highest standard of professional support and a state-of-the-art infrastructure, for your safety, young members (34 years old and under) also are asked to pay a security fee of $100 for an individual person household and $150 for a 2+ person household. Non-introductory members (35 years old and older) are asked to pay a security fee of $250 for an individual person household and $500 for a 2+ person household.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Financial means should never be a barrier to membership, so please contact the Membership Department if you need to make special payment arrangements or to request a reduction in dues.
