Teen Shabbat 2025 Honoring Our Mentors: Celebrating Diane Bialick and Mark Willner

Everyone in our community, from Family Shabbat participants to those that attend our regular Friday Night Services, are encouraged to join us for a very special Teen Shabbat 2025! This is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate the strength and spirit of our teens as they lead us in prayer, song, and reflection.

This year, Teen Shabbat will celebrate mentorship. Whether serving as a mentor  to fellow religious school students as a member of A-TEEM or forging intergenerational friendships with Temple Emanu-El seniors through Calling Generations, giving and receiving mentorship is a key part of the Temple Emanu-El teen experience. Participation in the Teen Philanthropic Committee shapes teens’ understanding of our Tikkun Olam philanthropic values. Throughout Teen Shabbat 2025, teens will reflect on the essential role of love, gratitude, and mentorship in their lives.

We will also be honoring two important mentors in the history of Temple Emanu-El’s religious school, longtime teachers Mark Willner and Diane Bialick. Combined Mark and Diane have taught over 110 years at our religious school and mentored over 1,000 students! After the service join us for a special community dinner honoring our teens, and Diane Bialick and Mark Willner. Registration for the post-worship dinner is required.
