Reverend Laurie DeMott received her MDiv from Colgate Rochester Divinity School, was ordained in the American Baptist Churches denomination, and was called to be the pastor of the Union University Church in Alfred, NY, a community church that welcomes people of all denominations. She served there for 38 years until her retirement in January of 2022. Reverend DeMott’s involvement with Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church began when she discovered their online service after her retirement and she was able to worship in person and meet the ministry staff during their “Beyond the Walls” weekend last May.
