Women of Emanu-El: Coffee With…Violins of Hope

Coffee With…Violins of Hope
Discussion and Museum Tour with Warren Klein,
Curator, Bernard Museum of Judaica
Tuesday, February 14, 2023 | 11:15 AM
$20 per attendee

This event is open only to temple members and their guests.

Opening January 31, and for the first time ever in New York City, the Temple Emanu-El Streicker Cultural Center will present the Violins of Hope: Every Violin Has A Story exhibition at Temple Emanu-El’s Bernard Museum of Judaica, featuring 39 violins that survived the Holocaust: living testaments to those we lost, and moving tributes to both the triumph of survival and the power of music in even the darkest days.

Warren Klein, Bernard Museum Curator, will discuss the new exhibition over coffee and lunch. After that, he will lead a private guided tour of the exhibition. We hope you’ll join Women of Emanu-El for what promises to be a fascinating conversation about these historic instruments.

This is an in-person event at Temple Emanu-El, where a light lunch will be served before the tour. RSVP no later than Friday, February 10.

Event funds raised are used to support various ongoing Women of Emanu-El initiatives, including Ronald McDonald House, Project Backpack, the Art Center at Emanu-El for Seniors, and our Annual Veterans’ Event.
