In the end, what REALLY matters?
A conversation about secrets, family and advance care planning
Join us for an evening of conversation between film editor Michael Taylor and documentarian Oren Rudavsky about Taylor’s recent work on the film, The Farewell, which portrays a young Asian-American woman struggling with her grandmother’s illness and the secrets her family is keeping. Following the discussion, Rabbi Jeremy Kalmanofsky and Temple Emanu-El What Matters facilitator Hayley Pessin will join the conversation, delving into personal and religious perspectives on advance care planning. Cantor Lisa Arbisser will close the evening with song. For those who would like to watch The Farewell prior to the event, DOROT will be hosting a Zoom watch party on Thursday, November 12 at 7:00 PM. The Farewell is also available to stream on Amazon.
