Not sure what to serve with this year’s brisket? Longing for a new taste to take the edge off this long isolation? Wondering how Israel’s best wines compares to their peers from California?
The Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center is offering a unique virtual wine tasting, an opportunity to explore six wines from three leading wineries, presented by the winemakers themselves. Au Contraire Reserve Chardonnay “Mighty Mouse,” produced in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley, will be presented alongside Recanati Chardonnay, from Israel’s Upper Galilee. Next, a rosé flight will examine Au Contraire Rosé, also from Russian River, and Recanati Gris de Marselan Rosé. And we’ll end savoring the Rutherford Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Taub Family Vineyards and David’s Vineyard Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Recanati.
Raise a glass with:
Gil Shatsberg, Head Winemaker for Recanati Winery, a top Israeli producer.
Tom Hinde, Head Winemaker for Taub Family Vineyards, with three decades in the California wine business.
Moderators: Marc and Jake Taub, third and fourth generation owners of Taub Family Vineyards and Au Contraire, and importers of Recanati.
This program is a collaboration with Taub Family Selections and Palm Bay International, family-owned businesses that offer fine and unique wines produced by highly-regarded and long-established winemaking families from around the globe.
This Zoom event will be offered for free with an option to purchase all featured wines, with a special 33% discount (only $150, including shipping, if ordered by September 7), delivered to you at home by Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center’s partner retailer, Vinporter.
