We invite you to join us for our first-ever Virtual Women’s Seder!
We will gather via Zoom conference from 10:00-11:30 AM on Sunday, March 29, 2020 for this new experience. By March 27 you will receive simple instructions via email for joining us.
As we all attempt to ‘flatten the curve’ of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking the step of moving all in-person gatherings to an online format. We are excited that we live in a time when we have the power to connect from wherever we are.
We will still share this beautiful ritual with our sisters, dwell in the hope of our ancestors’ stories and join our voices together in songs of freedom, resilience and strength. We need it now more than ever. All are welcome, please invite friends and guests. We can have as many attendees as we want!
A Few Notes:
Ticket Refund – Our Virtual Women’s Seder will be free to all and those who had previously purchased tickets to the event will receive full refunds. Please be patient with us as we process these refunds. Feeling helpless as the news updates roll in? In the spirit of Passover when we “let all who are hungry come and eat,” we’d like to suggest that, upon receiving your refund, you consider donating the cost of your ticket to one of the following organizations, or a cause of your choice:
Masbia – Masbia is a kosher food pantry in Brooklyn working to provide nutrition and sustenance to those impacted by COVID-19. In particular, their goal is to provide kosher for Passover food to 1,000 families who would not otherwise be able to afford or access it. Click here to donate to Masbia’s COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.
Feeding America – This national nonprofit organization manages food banks across the country. They are facing increased need at this time. Click here to donate to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
Thanks to the generosity of our Women’s Seder funder, a portion of the money originally designated for the costs of the Women’s Seder will be redirected to tzedakah as well. We are grateful.
Most of all, we want to let you know that we are here for you during this time. We look forward to gathering with you on March 29 and invite you to be in touch with us at any time.
