Teen Community Event: “13th” Documentary Discussion

Open to all Emanu-El 8th-12th Graders

Temple Teens Leah Goldstein and Mena Solomon invite you to join them for another important racial justice discussion.  This week’s conversation will be based on the documentary “13th” in which filmmaker Ava DuVernay explores the history of racial inequality in the United States, focusing on the fact that the nation’s prisons are disproportionately filled with people of color.  Prior viewing of the documentary is recommended, but not required. Click here to view the film online. Whether this is a first conversation or one of many, we encourage teens to join us and gain an understanding of different perspectives and give them a space to grow.
