LGBTQIA+: A Closer Look at Equality
Social Justice Discussion Group
Monday, December 6, 2021
7:00-8:00 PM
Via Zoom
Open to 8th-12th graders
Attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community are currently on the rise in our country. The approaching Winter Olympic Games has brought back the debate on deciding for which gender trans athletes can compete and South Carolina just legalized the banning of LGBTQIA+ literature. Join us to discuss the barriers facing the different facets of LGBTQIA+ and to have an interesting and informative conversation about our roles as members and/or allies in this human rights issue. This peer-led group offers a space for honest and safe conversations while developing opinions on current issues and learning Judaism’s position on difficult topics. SJDG takes place via Zoom, so you can participate from anywhere! Even if you only have a few minutes to spare, we invite you to log on and listen or share.
