The Men’s Club will be sponsoring a screening of Tango Shalom, the multi-award-winning comedy dance fable with a message of peace, tolerance, diversity, equity, inclusion, and interfaith dialogue.
This is a hilarious, interfaith look at a Hasidic Rabbi (Jos Laniado) forbidden to dance with the opposite sex unless married, while trying to compete in a dance competition with a tango teacher (Karina Smirnoff) to help save his Hebrew school from bankruptcy, without sacrificing his sacred beliefs. The story tests the boundaries of family, and community — one dazzling dance step at a time! Watch the trailer here.
The film stars Renée Taylor (“The Nanny”), Lainie Kazan (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), Joseph Bologna (Lovers and Other Strangers), Karina Smirnoff (“Dancing With The Stars”), Jos Laniado (Milko Manchevski’s Bikini Moon), Judi Beecher (Taken 3, Family Is Family, La Garçonne), Claudio Laniado (Mudbound), and Marci Fine (“Person of Interest”).
