Cipriani’s Wall Street Tour & Lunch followed by Federal Hall National Memorial *
Tuesday, November 19, 2019
Tour/Lunch | 11:45 AM | Tour | 2:00 PM
We start the day with a tour and lunch of the iconic landmark. Cipriani’s Wall Street, served as the home of the New York Merchants Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, the United States Customs House, and the headquarters of the National City Bank.
After lunch, we proceed to a guided tour of Federal Hall National Memorial: The Birthplace of American Government. Here on Wall Street, George Washington took the oath of office as our first President, and this site was home to the first Congress, Supreme Court, and Executive Branch offices. The current structure, a Customs House, later served as part of the US Sub-Treasury. Now, the building serves as a museum and memorial to our first President and the beginnings of the United States of America.
Please RSVP by November 12.
* There was a change in the second venue of this event due to unavailability. We are no longer going to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
