For six months, Theodor Herzl took up residence at the Bernard Museum of Judaica, inviting thousands to immerse themselves in his life, his vision, and his enduring legacy. Through original documents, photographs, artifacts, and memorabilia drawn from the world’s foremost Herzl collections—including the Theodore Herzl Archive at the World Zionist Organization, the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, and the unparalleled private collection of David Matlow—All About Herzl traced the extraordinary transformation of a young European intellectual into the father of modern Zionism.

Visitors walked with Herzl through the streets of Vienna and Paris, witnessing the rising tide of European antisemitism that propelled his conviction that a Jewish homeland was not just a dream but a necessity. His writings, including Der Judenstaat and his personal diaries, provide a glimpse into his unshakable belief that “If you will it, it is no dream.”

More than 7,500 people—individual visitors, families, and 60 organized groups—explored the exhibition. They engaged with lectures, performances, and discussions that brought Herzl’s story to life. Now that the exhibit has closed, we are proud to ensure that Herzl’s vision remains accessible to all.

For those who could not attend in person—or for those who wish to enjoy it again—we invite you to experience All About Herzl through our Virtual 3D Tour. Step back into the exhibition and explore Herzl’s journey at your own pace.

As Herzl himself said upon his departure:
“Tell them to keep dreaming and to keep my dream of Israel alive!”
