Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who gave their time the day before Thanksgiving! I would like to express my extreme gratitude to the Thanksgiving Committee: Debbie Halperin, Rebecca Weisberg, Lori Villi, Phyllis Hahn, Kim Hartman, Shelly Katz and Marlene Yokel, who worked tirelessly and committed countless hours to make this dinner a huge success.
A huge shout out to our Temple Emanu-El staff, without whose continued support Tikkun Olam could not continue its mission to help others. And to Mark Heutlinger: What can I say? You are our Rock! Thank you so much for all that you do to support our needs year after year, after year!
Our guests were treated to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, from turkey and mashed potatoes to Thanksgiving-themed cupcakes and apple-spiced donuts. Everyone left with a Breakfast Bag filled with goodies and individual apple pies for the next day! It was wonderful to be able to welcome our guests after a two-year hiatus due to COVID. So many smiles, so much conversation and laughter during this amazing dinner.
Temple Emanu-El as a congregation and community volunteer side-by-side together to forge friendships that will last a lifetime.
