Shine a Light on Antisemitism
Monday, December 19 | 5:00-6:30 PM
Times Square – Enter at Broadway and 47th Street
This Chanukah, UJA-NY and JCRC-NY are joining the Shine a Light movement to dispel the darkness and to raise awareness about antisemitism.
Nearly one out of every four Jews in the U.S. experiences antisemitism. It’s become normalized across our culture – on social media, in pop culture and politics, and on the streets.
Save the date for this national demonstration of Jewish pride, which will include powerful messages from key city and state leaders and lively performances by Jewish musicians, as we stand shoulder to shoulder with our greater community and allies.
In the heart of New York City, we’ll light the menorah together and raise awareness about antisemitism. Highlights will include:
- Emcee Ariel Elias, comedian
- Performances by Nissim Black; The Moshav Band; David Herskowitz, Miami Boys Choir alum and TikTok star; and The Ramaz Upper School Choir
- An appearance by Montana Tucker, TikTok influencer
Shine A Light is a purpose-driven convening platform for organizations, companies, institutions and individuals to unite in shining a light on antisemitism in all its modern forms. Click the links below to learn more.
