Courage in a Moment of Fear
The passing hours have not yet quelled the terror caused by this morning’s shootings. So many of us depend on our subways, buses and trains to carry us to and from work and school. The understandable fear and uncertainty many now feel will take time to overcome. But, as always, we will help each other through. Brooklyn’s 36th Street station, in particular, is a hub of energy every morning and evening as people go about their lives and routines in this city we love. Our prayers for recovery are with the victims of this morning’s attack there and on the N train. And they are with all those who might have been victims had they arrived a moment earlier or later. May God bless them with healing and strength, and all of us with courage and compassion.
