Shabbat @ Emanu-El

shabbat?
Who needs it?!
We do!

Put the world “on hold” for an hour a week and allow yourself to share an uplifting, spiritual experience that can transform the rest of the week. Shabbat is a mini-vacation you can enjoy 52 weeks a year. Shabbat @ Emanu-El is a way to focus on Shabbat and encourage your participation. Bring your family; meet your friends here; leave refreshed and continue the conversation over Shabbat dinner.

Ahad Ha’Am taught: “More than Israel has kept the Sabbath, the Sabbath has kept Israel.” There is a place in the sanctuary with your name on it…

For Shabbat @ Emanu-El we have highlighted one Shabbat a month when we especially encourage you to bring your family and friends and join in worshiping in community. Two times during the year — November 4, 2011, and March 2, 2012 — we invite you to continue the spirit of Shabbat after services with a meal — at home, at Temple or at a restaurant — in the company of your family and friends.

REMINDER: All Friday evening services start at 6 PM. (Organ recital is at 5:45 PM.)
