Temple Emanu-El is pleased to be able to offer our magnificent spaces to Temple members, not only for religious services and life-cycle events but also for the celebrations associated with them.
We want to help you and your guests enjoy the experience free of stress or worry. To that end, and to provide first-class catering for your special occasion, we work hand-in-hand with some of the foremost catering companies in New York City.
Once a reception date and time are agreed upon through the Temple Administrative Office, you will work with the professionals of Great Performances to develop a menu and to address other catering and decorating issues. Financial arrangements for food and service are made directly with Great Performances.
Room rental fees, paid directly to the Temple,
are dependent on the space in which your event is held:
► Isaac Mayer Wise Hall (Lower Level, One East 65th Street)
Capacity: 350 seated, 300 with dance space
► Gene L. Blumenthal Hall (Lower Level, 10 East 66th Street)
Capacity: 200 seated, 150 with dance space
► Leventritt Room (4th Floor, One East 65th Street)
Capacity: 100 seated, 125 cocktails or Kiddush
► Lounge (6th Floor, One East 65th Street)
To reserve an event date, obtain detailed information about hours and regulations, or receive printed materials about catered events at Temple Emanu-El, please contact our Events Coordinator.
Temple Emanu-El does not impose strict kosher regulations on catered events. What we routinely permit is “kosher-style” catering, which means that while some foods are not permitted — such as shellfish and pork products — dairy and meat may be served together.
