hrough the Tikkun Olam Committee, Temple Emanu-El will host a “Taste of New York” for adult cancer patients undergoing treatment in New York and staying at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge. We will set up stations of food representing different NYC neighborhoods (Chinatown, the Lower East Side, Little Italy). Setup/food prep is expected to start at 3:45 PM, with dinner service beginning at 5:30 PM. Help will be needed for cleanup after dinner. The event should conclude by 7 PM.Hope Lodge offers free, temporary housing for cancer patients undergoing treatment and their families. More than a place to stay, Hope Lodge is a home-away-from-home, offering a comfortable and supportive environment for encouragement and healing.
