“As a member of the Temple Emanu-El Youth Group board, I am able to hang out with friends, learn how to organize and operate events for the Emanu-El community, and build teamwork skills. We try to incorporate community service, Jewish heritage and fun into each of our events. It feels great to know that when you are enjoying an event like Casino Night, you simultaneously are raising money for DOROT, a Jewish nonprofit organization.”

— Perry Leon, TESTY Co-President
2007-2008

“For the past four years, I have extremely enjoyed being on the TESTY board. No matter what we’re doing, I always have a great time, while also improving skills such as organization and responsibility. I know that I will use the tools that I have learned from being on the board throughout the rest of my life and keep in touch with the friends I have made. I am so happy I participated and learned in such a comfortable and fun environment.”

— Katherine Haves, TESTY Co-President 2007-2008
