n the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the Philanthropic Fund Committee made use of a reserve fund for unforeseen emergencies to quickly and efficiently purchase and distribute supplies for those in need and to support the relief efforts of the Reform Movement with a $10,000 grant that will be used to help several Reform congregations that were damaged or destroyed. In addition, the congregation, through the Philanthropic Fund, has made a $75,000 donation to the Mayor’s Fund for NYC Hurricane Relief to support citywide relief efforts.
