Aminadav Aloni

Aminadav AloniAMINADAV ALONI (1928 – 1999) was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. He studied at the Haifa Institute of Music, primarily as a pianist. After arriving in the United States, Mr. Aloni attended both the Juilliard School of Music and New York University.

Mr. Aloni was a talented jazz and classical pianist who could play in any style. He began composing exclusively secular music at first, but in 1970 he started writing Jewish music. He received numerous commissions for works on Jewish themes, ranging from religious services to full symphonic scores. Mr. Aloni made his permanent residence in the Los Angeles area, where he composed for television, films and theater.
