Shabbat Shira Family Dinner
Friday, Jan 26th

$55 per family by January 22, $15 for teens

Immediately following the Shabbat Shira (Sabbath of Song) service in the Fifth Avenue Sanctuary, Religious School families and teens are invited to a Sabbath dinner where we will be honoring our Religious School faculty. Activities for children will be offered. Reservations are required.

The Story of Prayer
Jan 28th - Jan 29th
9:30 AM to 12 PM | 4:30 PM to 6 PM

Attendance is free, but reservations are requested

This program will enable Fourth Grade Religious School families to think and talk about what it means to participate in regular Jewish prayer, to ask big questions, to engage in some "God Talk" and to connect to worship at Emanu-El. Parent-Teacher Curriculum Meetings will be included as part of this program.

Havdalah Pajama Party
Saturday, Feb 3rd
4:30 PM to 6 PM

There is no charge for this event, but reservations are requested

Families with young children: Say farewell to Shabbat through songs, stories and hands-on crafts activities at this special Havdalah service. Participation is open to all temple families and friends with children in Pre-Kindergarten through Second Grade. Wearing pajamas is encouraged but not required. A light dinner will be served.

Tribal Cup Competition and Lunch
Sunday, Feb 4th
12 PM to 1:30 PM

Open to all Sunday Religious School students in Grades 3-5 and Tribes alumni

Compete in Tribal trivia, compose an original cheer and tackle our obstacle course. The overall goal of this event is fun!

Family Dinner & Shabbat Kodesh Service
Friday, Feb 9th
6 PM (Dinner) | 7 PM (Service)

$55 per family by February 5, $15 for teens
One East 65th Street/Beth-El Chapel

At Shabbat Kodesh, we sing Hebrew prayers with lively melodies and experience the weekly Torah reading through interpretation and storytelling. The service is preceded by a family dinner at 6 PM, for which a reservation is required. All temple families are welcome to attend.

Family Purim Celebration
Sunday, Mar 4th
11 AM to 2 PM

Open to all temple members and their friends
Enter at One East 65th Street

Purim Shpiel: 11 AM. Mini-Carnival for Young Families and Nursery School students only: 11:30 AM to 12 PM. Carnival open to kids of all ages: 12 PM to 2 PM.

Emanu-El After Dark
Friday, Mar 9th
8:30 PM

FREE for Emanu-El Religious School students, $36 for nonmember friends
One East 65th Street

Religious School students are invited to spend the night at Emanu-El for a sleepover with friends, fun, food, movies and games. Go on a "behind-the-scenes" tour and see what it's like to be at Emanu-El after dark. Nonmember friends are invited to participate as well. Registration required.

High School Trip to Washington, DC
Mar 16th - Mar 19th
$419 per student, plus transportation
Full payment must be received by January 26.

Emanu-El high school students are invited to join hundreds of Reform Jewish teens from around the country to turn their Jewish values into political reality.
